It’s time once again for a marathon travel day with a long-haul flight. This time, we’re leaving Denver and flying back to the Philippines by way of Los Angeles and San Francisco. So, 2 short flights, followed by a 14-hour+ leg across the Pacific.

After our family’s bucket list week in West Asia’s United Arab Emirates, we’ve headed down under for our first true taste of the continent of Oceania. In this episode, we’re staying at the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney and taking their team’s suggestions on the city’s can’t-miss sites and bites. From sea level architecture and sky-high gazing to kangaroo steak and cocktail confections, we’re devouring Australia from the ground up.

Three days ago, our family left our part-time home in Manila for our first visit to Dubai. We explored the legendary emirate by sea, air, and land. But now we’ve driven 75 minutes south to Abu Dhabi to experience some of the most magical parts of UAE culture. It’s finally time to trek into the bush for some big game safari adventure. But that starts with a full day of travel, so we’re taking you along and showing you the Airlink flight experience to Kruger, the chartered plane experience to Phinda, how we pack efficiently for a safari, and what our luxurious mountain lodging is like.

We’ve spent the past week exploring the beautiful country of South Africa and while the history, food, landscapes have been captivating, I’m definitely craving another dose of extreme adventure. Turns out there’s a place just a short drive away where you can cage dive with Africa’s apex predators: the nile crocodile. So Colt and I are leaving the girls above-surface for a bit while we submerge ourselves in a bucket-list experience that we hope to return from.

We’re spending 2 nights in South Africa’s wine country and experiencing everything that Babylonstoren has to offer, from incredible foods (including some that brooklyn makes for us) to farm operations. And of course Colt will be sampling some of the wines made right on-property.

We’re staying closer to the city of Cape Town and exploring the local sites and bites that represent its vibrant, multi-cultural community. From the Instagram-famous streets and historical mosques of Bo-Kaap to home-cooked Malay dishes and a 14-course African food performance.
